Effective March 1, we open for the season. This is a great place to
spend any hot Texas day. Our newly renovated campgrounds offer almost
a mile of spacious drive up campsites, with limited water and electric
hook ups, many shaded picnic tables at the sites, easy water acess,
free hot and cold showers (up top), running water restrooms,
washer/dryer, and port-a-potties throughout the entire property!! We
are open 365 days a year, and 366 on leap year!! We have everything
here at our camping paradise, including one of the best swimming holes
around, rope swings, cliffs, and all.
To avoid any confusion, we have not moved at all. We are still here
at 8195 U.S. Hwy 281 N., on both sides of the steel bridge at the
Guadalupe river. We are just a short scenic drive north of San
Antonio, and iyswell worth the drive to experience the tranquility of
this place!! Our part of the river harbors some of the best
family-friendly waters you will find out on the upper Guadalupe. We
have a great shallow wading area by the bridge for the less confident
swimmers, and deeper areas that are perfect for the little fish in the
family! The current runs very light, and alot of people like to build
a little wall in the rapids to sit under and have the water give them
a massage.
Spend a day out in nature on a canoe, raft, tube, or you can try out
one of our brand new Jackson Rivera kayaks, they don't come any better
than this folks!! This is a great way to experience nature at its
best. You can get away from the house for the day at the origional
home of the $5 spot!!!!
